financial means to purchase a home, you need to move frequently, or
you can't afford maintenance and upkeep - then renting a home might
be the right answer for you.

and programs as they become available throughout the year. The most

Homes Build Hope, Inc.
Homes Build Hope, Inc. is a non-profit
affordable housing agency that operates nearly 80 apartments, townhouses,
duplex homes, and single-family homes throughout Westmoreland County,
including East Vandergrift, Irwin, Jeannette, Greensburg, Latrobe, and
Derry.
- Call Homes Build Hope, 724-838-0752 and talk with a housing
counselor who will help determine what your housing needs are.
- Complete an application and either mail it to the address
below or drop off at the Homes Build Hope office.
- After Homes Build Hope receives your application, they will
call you to schedule an interview and verify income.
- After you meet the eligibility requirements, Homes Build
Hope will either find a suitable rental property or place you on
a waiting list until one meeting your needs becomes available.

Westmoreland Community Action
Westmoreland
Community Action is the central non-profit agency building and selling
new homes in revitalized communities in Westmoreland County. The Agency also
purchases homes in need of repair and rehabs them to either sell or rent
to families with limited incomes. Once remodeled, the homes are often better
than new, meeting current building codes, with all new appliances, heating
and air conditioning, and new easy to clean finishes. A limited number of
rental properties are available through Westmoreland Community Action’s Home
Buyer Resource Center.
